EUNJEE LEE

Eunjee Lee is a trumpet player based in Cologne. She was born in 1995 in South Korea. After completing her Bachelor’s degree in Korea, she moved to Germany in 2020 and was admitted to the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln in the same year. There, she studied trumpet under the guidance of Prof. Urban Agnas and received her Master of Music in 2023. After completing her master’s degree, she began studying Baroque trumpet with Thibaud Robinne at the same institution, continuing her studies to this day.

During her studies, Eunjee Lee gained extensive performance experience. In Korea, she performed as a guest musician with the Korea Symphony Orchestra and the Prime Philharmonic Orchestra. While studying in Germany, she actively participated in a brass ensemble conducted by Matthias Kiefer. Additionally, she had a successful performance in the German premiere of Il Tito, where she played a significant role. She also took part in the German premiere of a work by Eduard Erdmann, which she recorded for WDR. In 2022, she was part of the Tage Alter Musik in Herne festival, where her performance was broadcast live by WDR.

Currently, she regularly performs as a guest musician with the Kammeroper Köln and the Neues Rheinisches Kammerorchester. She has performed not only in Germany and Korea but also in France, Switzerland, and Japan. She has also attended masterclasses with Laura Vukobratović, Reinhold Friedrich, and Håkan Hardenberger.

Educationally, she gained experience teaching group lessons at elementary schools in Korea. Furthermore, she was admitted to the Graduate School of Education at Kyung Hee University in South Korea. Currently, she teaches at several music schools in Germany. Additionally, she received a teaching position offer from her alma mater, the University of Suwon.
